| dc.description.abstract | Tezin dört ana bölümünde Köy Enstitüleri'nin kurumsal, tarihsel ve kuramsal alt yapısı incelenmiştir. Birinci bölümde, ulus-devlet inşası ve milliyetçilik hareketleri tartışılarak romantik milliyetçiliğin tanımı yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, Türkiye'de köylü eğitiminin önemi ve tarihi araştırılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde, Köy Enstitüleri'nin tarihsel ve kurumsal yapısı incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde, Köy Enstitüsü mezunlarıyla sözlü tarih çalışması yapılarak romantik milliyetçiliğin içsellenmesi tartışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Köy Enstitüleri'nin ulus-devlet inşaasında, köylü eğitiminin vatandaşlık bilincini romantik milliyetçi söylem sayesinde gerçekleştirdiği ifade edilmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Within the four main chapters of the thesis, the institutional, historical and theoretical frameworks of the Village Institutes are examined. In the first part, the romantic nationalism is explained while discussing the relationship between nation-state building and nationalist movements. In the second part, the importance and historical background of peasent education are illustrated. In the third part, the historical and institutional frameworks of the Village Institutes are analyzed. In the final part, oral history methods are applied to institutes graduates concerning their views on citizenship and the romantic nationalism. When all is said and done, the conclusion is that the romantic nationalism is adopted through the Village Institutes in terms of combining both peasents education system and nation-state building. | |
