| dc.description.abstract | Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, Bosna Hersek'te 1992 yılında çatışmayla sonlanan Osmanlı millet sistemini ve Tito sonrası dönemde onun bir devamı olarak sürdürülen çok kültürlülük projesini, Dayton Barış Anlaşması sonrasını da içine alacak şekilde anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu anlamda bu tezin hipotezi; Sırp, Hırvat, Boşnak etnisitelerinin, kısa süren görece refah dönemleri olsa da, uluslararası ve iç faktörlerin etkisiyle birbirlerine karşı çatışmacı bir şekilde yeniden etnik duvarlarını örerek, milliyetçilik geliştirdikleri için çok kültürlülük projesinin işlemediğini tarihsel örneklerle ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, "Etniklik" kavramının üzerinde durulmuştur. Etnisite olgusu ile ilişkilendirilen azınlık, ırk, kimlik, Etnik-milliyetçilik terimleri irdelenmiştir. Konu bağlamında Yugoslavya'dan Bosna-Hersek'e yaşanan etnik çatışmaların teorik nedenleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Sırp, Hırvat ve Boşnak etnisitelerinin yüzyıllar süren antagonisttik tavırlarının tarihsel arka planı analiz edilmiştir. Bosna Savaşı bu anlamda eski nefretlerin vuku bulduğu bir alan olmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise savaşı bitirmek adına imzalanan Dayton Barış Anlaşması ve sonuçları tartışılmıştır. Bölgede yapılan gözlemler ve sözlü tarihsel anlatılara referansla Dayton Barış Anlaşması öncesi ve sonrası analiz edilmiştir. Dayton Barış Anlaşması, kısa vadede barış getirirken bölgedeki etnik milliyetçiliğin daha da keskinleşmesi, devlet ve parlamenter sistemin yetersizlikleri ve ülkedeki içsel ve uluslararası ilişkiler dengelerindeki ağır kırılganlık Dayton Barış Anlaşması'nı demode ve işlevsiz hale getirmiştir. Bu süreçte çok kültürlülük devam ediyor gibi gözükse de bölgede dondurulmuş savaşın esintileri ciddi bir şekilde hissedilmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the thesis is to understand why the project of multiculturalism constructed in Tito period that can be read as the transformation of the Ottoman Millet System to universal socialist citizenship in Bosnia Herzigovina resulted in an intrastate war in 1990s and enactment of the Dayton Peace Agreement did not function. The argument of the thesis is patterned on the fact that although Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian ethnicities had relatively lived in peace in short term in history they reconstructed their ethnic walls against each other by means of domestic and international dynamics. The first section of the study focuses on the concept of ethnicity and analyses the relationship between related concepts such as ethnicity, race and nationalism. The second section evaluates the backstage of the antagonistic positions of the Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian ethnicities. Regarding the fact that the study argues that the Bosnian war was an outcome of an ancient hatreds. The third section discuses the Dayton Peace Agreement and its results and effects in the country by means of observation and the oral History of people experienced the war. The dissertation argues that the Dayton, nevertheless, brings peace in short term it led to sharpening ethnic nationalism, insufficiency of state and the parliamentary system. This makes Dayton dysfunctional in this process that frozen war is strongly felt under the grounds of multiculturalism. | |
