Türkiye Ermenilerinin siyasal tutum ve davranışları üzerine notlar

Abstract

Bu çalışma Türkiye Ermenilerinin sosyal, siyasal ve kültürel profilini çıkarmayı hedefleyen ve Kasım 2004-Mayıs 2005 tarihleri arasında İstanbul'da gerçekleştirilen bir alan araştırmasının ürünüdür. Araştırma süresince ulaşılan bireylerle hem derinlemesine görüşme yapılmış, hem de görüşmenin sınırlarını belirlememize yardımcı olan bir anket formu doldurulmuştur. Alan araştırmasının siyasal profil ile ilgili verileri bu çalışmada üç alt ayrım içinde özetlenmiştir. Bunlar, siyasete ilgi düzeyini ölçmeye, oy verme davranışı ile Ermeni kimliği arasındaki ilişkiyi anlamaya ve Ermenilerin bir topluluk olarak blok oy verme eğilimlerinin olup olmadığını belirlemeye yönelik soruların yanıtlarını içermektedir. Verilerden ortaya çıkan bulgular ve çalışma süresince aktarılan bilgiler Türkiye Ermenilerinin etnik kimliklerinin, siyasi kimlikleri ve oy verme davranışları üzerin etkin olduğunu göstermiştir.

This paper aims to discuss several findings of a field survey conducted in Istanbul on Turkey's Armenians, between the dates of November 2004-May 2005, among Turkey's Armenian community to contribute to the literature on ethnie voting. In this research the questions on the political profile were basically organized in three sections. The first section includes questions aiming to esıablish the level of interest in politics, the second section includes questions aiming to understand the relationship between the Armenian identity and the voting behavior and the third seelion aimed to understand whether or noı the Armenians have an inclination to vole as a communiıy. With these questions this paper examines the political behavior of the Turkish citizen Armenians. Atlention is focused on the following issues: 1) whether being Armenian has an effect on the voting behavior of the Turkey's Armenians who possess the characteristics of a communiıy 2) mostly with deep interviews and observations, the paper assesses the reasons for this affection in the context of the relation between ethnicity and voting behavior.
